  • WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY GLENT’S MADE TO MEASURE CONCEPT?

  • We offer 5 types of shoes that are shaped into 18 different models using 4 especially created molds. Each mold that we have developed is available from shoe size 37 up to larger size men’s shoes numbers (37-52), including half numbers, with up to five different widths per shoe size and model and three insole measurements. This means we offer over 300 combinations of measurements for each model, between which we will provide advice on a client by client basis. Each foot will be measured using an in-store 3D digital technology system that measures length, width and insole.

  • IS THE DIGITAL SCANNER HARMLESS?

  • The 3D digital technology scanner and the procedures undertaken by Glent to measure your feet are innocuous.

  • HOW DOES IT WORK OUT MY CORRECT SIZE?

  • We advise clients to visit our store to take measurements in our scanner so as to establish their shoe size and try on a couple of pairs of display shoes. Furthermore this procedure should be carried out every time a client wishes to order a style of shoes based on one of the four molds.

  • IS IT NECESSARY TO TAKE DIGITAL MEASUREMENTS IN ORDER TO KNOW MY SIZE?

  • Having digital measurements made is not strictly necessary as we do have display shoes in various sizes that can be tried on if the client feels more comfortable that way. However the scanner is an excellent tool for providing useful information that will help us give advice on which shoe style would best suit.

  • ARE GLENT’S MATERIALS HYPOALLERGENIC?

  • At Glent we only use top quality materials. All of the leather and linings are made from cowhide, except for Cordovan which is equine. We have carried out allergy tests and have not detected a single case of allergy or dermatitis.

  • DO THESE SHOES HELP KEEP MY FEET IN A HEALTHY CONDITION?

  • Our shoes are beneficial for our client’s health because they are a perfect fit, which rarely happens with other types of shoes where feet need to fit the shoe and not vice versa. However our shoes are not orthopedic and should not be considered as such.

  • CAN I USE MY INSOLES WITH THESE SHOES?

  • Any client wishing to insert an insole is able to do so due to our shoemaking craftsmanship. Glent will act upon information provided by the client and will also advise the client to speak to the in-store podiatrist.

  • IF MY INSOLES ARE FITTED INTO A PAIR OF GLENT SHOES COULD THEY RUIN THE SHOES?

  • No because when the shoe is made we will provide space for the insole so that it is a comfortable fit.

  • CAN I ADD EXTRA DEPTH IN MY SHOES TO PUT INSOLES?

  • Clients are able to add the depth they desire as long as this is mentioned at the outset of the order.

  • DO YOU CARRY STOCK? CAN I BUY A PAIR OF FINISHED SHOES IN THE STORE?

  • No. All of our shoes are made to order exclusively for our clients. The display shoes we hold in-store are to try and to show examples of how our shoes can be personalized.

  • CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER?

  • As soon as the order has been placed and is received at the manufacturing warehouse the leather is immediately cut. This is why we cannot accept changes once the order has been placed.

  • WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I RECEIVE THE SHOES BUT THEY DO NOT FIT PROPERLY?

  • We will make whatever adjustment necessary to remedy any misalignment in the sizing.

  • IF I ORDER MORE THAN ONE PAIR OF SHOES, WILL THEY TAKE THE SAME TIME TO BE MADE?

  • Yes, it takes approximately 4 weeks for a pair of shoes to be made.

  • DO THE GIFT VOUCHERS HAVE AN EXPIRY DATE?

  • Glent’s gift vouchers to do not expire; however if more than six months has passed since the voucher was bought then there may be a variation in the price of the article chosen on the voucher, in which case the client must pay the difference.
